ADULT TRAINING

  • Absolutely! No participant will be left behind or asked to complete more than they are capable of doing safely. It would be extremely irresponsible for us to do otherwise.
     
    We specialize in exercise modifications so that a beginner or advanced member can workout within their fitness level. There may be a rare case where this isn’t the best program for some people in their current state.
     
    Athletic Revolution specializes in providing challenging workouts for people at any level and at the same time. A 66-year-old with joint, knee or back issues can work side-by-side with a 26-year-old athlete in the same group and both will be challenged at their own fitness level.

Our high-intensity total-body metabolic resistance training workouts are designed to get you in the best shape of your life regardless of your current fitness level. Our program includes top notch group fitness coaching, instruction, education and motivational training while using a mix of
    “conventional” and “non-conventional” fitness tools and techniques including body-weight exercises, resistance bands, dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, Suspension Trainers, sandbags, battling ropes, sleds and more!

  • No. The core (abs) are like any other muscle and should not be over trained. In fact, if you work your abs too much the muscles increase in size and can actually make your stomach look bigger. Everyone has a six pack. It is the fat that is hiding them. 1000 crunches a day will NOT get rid of stomach fat. There is no such thing as spot reducing. It is a simple matter of decreasing calories and increasing calories burned. Eating clean and smart along with exercise is the key to a six pack.
  • Small group personal training consists of groups of 4 to
    5 people being guided by a professional certified trainer. You will have an age and skill appropriate custom program written just for you to help you reach your goals in the safest most efficient way possible. You can achieve the same goals and receive the same attention as private training for a fraction of the cost!
  • In most cases no. We pride ourselves on rewarding those committed to long-term fitness with some of the most competitive pricing in our local market. What makes that work is that our clients honor their
    commitments to us as we do you. However, there are a couple of exceptions to the rule. If you move more than 15 miles away we will allow the contract to be broken. The other situation we will honor is injury or serious illness. For medically related issues we will put
    your membership on hold until you are allowed to resume normal activity. This way you won’t be billed while you are healing. We just ask that you provide us with your doctor’s recommendation. Don’t like commitment? No problem. Simply purchase a punch
    card membership.
  • The great thing about our MaxBurn group training sessions is that any fitness level can do it! We have regressions and progressions of the exercises used to fit your fitness level. You have to start somewhere right? Our experienced trainers will help you understand and execute the exercises.
  • MaxBurn is 1 hour long and focuses on total body strength, cardio and core.
    MaxHIIT is approximately 35 minutes and is an all out cardio assault made up of exercises such as burpees, jumps, mountain climbers, and sprints just to name a few.
     
    Max burn is good for all fitness levels. MaxHIIT is for a little more advanced group.
  • Absolutely! Just register for the class you would like to attend and your
    all set!

YOUTH TRAINING FAQ's

  • This is where we start with an athlete about to start a program at AR. It is a series of strength and mobility tests which takes about 30 minutes that gives us a chance to get familiar with the athlete and identify weaknesses, imbalances and/or mobility issues that need to be addressed when creating a custom program to fit their needs.

  • Did you know weight lifting is not even in the top 10 most dangerous sports?

    The most recent science based studies show that children who strength train reduce their risk of sports related injuries.
    The facts are strength training when done correctly and supervised by an experienced professional actually increases bone density and joint stability.
     
    It is never too early to strengthen a child.

  • Yes, but every athlete is different and there are many factors involved. Some of these factors are:
    • How long can they stay in the program?
    • Will they miss training sessions?
    • How much fast twitch muscle to they have?
    • Will they work on things they learn at home?
     
    The more you put in the more you get out. Every athlete responds different to training. We can make your kid faster by teaching correct running mechanics and prescribing strength exercises that have proven to increase speed. We highly recommend that an athlete stays in the program at least three months but if you really want to get to the next level it should be a year round endeavor.
  • Absolutely! Just register for a fitness assessment and register the class you would like to attend and you’re all set!
